A mixed feeling on
tension and excitement was in the air tonight as
JC, Todd, Eric, and Dan took seats at the table.
JC was still remembering the bitter hand he lost
to Eric on last week. Todd was itching for his
chance to win another big pot. Eric was
defending his title and playing his father, Dan.
Dan, the veteran player of the four was
determined to put is name in the PPT winner’s
book. After some friendly banter the evening
began.
First hand was
fatal for Eric, as he went all in on his first
hand against Todd. After the river Todd ended up
with 2 pair, Queens and 4’s. The game had only
begun 5 minutes ago and Eric was already using
his only buy-in. I was interested to see how
this would play out with Eric’s confidence in
the game.
On the second hand
JC and Dan went head to head with a $400 pot.
The river came down and gave JC a pair of deuces
and a King. Dan threw down the Devil’s own hand
3-of-a-kind 6’s. I can’t be sure, but I think I
saw Todd scoot his stool a little farther away
from Dan’s chair.
